19-year-old pedestrian dies near Nashwauk

LONE PINE TOWNSHIP, Minn. — A pedestrian was killed after being hit in a traffic lane near Nashwauk.

According to the report, a 2005 GMC Yukon was traveling south on US Hwy 169 when it struck a pedestrian who was walking in the travel lane.

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, just after 11 p.m.

The 19-year-old pedestrian died at the scene.

The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Nashwauk Police, Fire and EMS.
