17-Year-Old Spotted on Random Twitch Stream Weeks After Disappearing Reunites with Family

Missing teenager reunited with family after surprising internet discovery.

Troy Coleman, 17, disappeared on May 21 from Mt Morris Township, Michigan, leaving his loved ones devastated.

A search has begun for a missing teenager who remained missing until a tip came from an unexpected source.

The matter came to light when a Twitch streamer revealed that he had been contacted by a man posing as Troy’s brother.

The person claimed to have seen someone on a live stream hosted by a streamer in Miami and was convinced that the person looked just like their missing brother or sister.

Thanks to an unusual turn of events, the 17-year-old was found in Miami and will soon be reunited with his family in Michigan.

In a statement, his hometown police said: “The Flint Township Police Department would like to sincerely THANK everyone who came forward with information regarding the disappearance of Troy Coleman.

“He was found safe and sound in Miami, Florida. We are working with local authorities to ensure his safe return to his family.”

Streamer FaZe Lacy was surprised when someone contacted him during one of his live streams.

The live stream shows a bare-chested man wearing bright green shorts walking down the sidewalk before stopping to chat with the streamers.

After someone contacted him, the streamer posted on his Twitter profile, asking if anyone could confirm the person’s identity.

The post reads: “3 months ago a 17 year old went missing and was charged with murder. Yesterday on stream he approached me and Clix and now his family knows he’s alive and in Miami.

“I wasn’t sure if I should make this public, but I hope it helps find him for his family in some way.”

Coleman’s family also made a public appeal for help getting the man home safely.

A later post on the account confirmed that Coleman was now waiting to return to his family in Michigan.

The statement said: “We contacted his brother and told him which hotel he was staying at during the broadcast.

“He was found and placed in a cell in Miami until he could be transferred back to Michigan with his family.”

The streamer added: “The power of the internet is amazing, thank you all.”
