Rowlett man accused of recording upskirt videos at Irving Walmart, attacked officer: police

A Rowlett man has been charged with assaulting a police officer after he was caught recording upskirt videos of women at a Walmart in Irving.

According to Irving police, 41-year-old Keevis Jumon Holland allegedly recorded videos of women inside a store Monday as they hid under their dresses.

Employees alerted an Ore City, Texas, police officer who was working off-duty at Walmart while wearing a fully marked police uniform. The officer tried to detain Holland in handcuffs.

Irving police say that “when the officer placed handcuffs on (Holland’s) left wrist, (Holland) turned around and began striking the officer multiple times in the face and head with closed fists.”

According to police, each blow hit the officer with loose handcuffs, causing a cut on his head.

“The officer fell to the ground and dropped the stun gun that his department gave him. (Holland) picked up the stun gun and pointed it at the officer,” and then ran away and drove away.

Irving police matched the license plate to Holland and identified him as the suspect from his driver’s license photo.

“I almost can’t believe it,” said Omar Ayala, one of Holland’s neighbors.

On Tuesday afternoon, Irving police officers responded to their Rowlett neighborhood to serve an arrest warrant at Holland’s home.

“They were wearing normal clothes, but they had guns and vests and everything else,” Ayala said. “And they were shouting on the microphone, ‘Come out, come out.’”

Holland, however, was not at home.

Later that evening, Holland checked himself into the Dallas County Jail.

“He seemed like a really nice guy,” Ayala said. “I couldn’t imagine that because he was really nice, so the fact that he was in a random Walmart filming people is just, wow, like I almost thought they caught the wrong guy?”

In 2017, Holland pleaded guilty to twice secretly recording women at a Walmart in west Dallas.

He was sentenced to one year in prison.

He had been on parole since Holland pleaded guilty in 2002 to aggravated robbery and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Holland has been charged with aggravated assault on a police officer.

Bail was set at $50,000, but is being held in abeyance, which could indicate additional charges may be imposed.
