Two arrests made in Enniskillen in connection with terrorism investigation

The PSNI Terrorism Unit has arrested two men in Enniskillen.

Arrests were made on Wednesday evening in connection with the discovery of an explosive device in Co Louth on June 9.

In conjunction with An Garda Síochána, searches were carried out at three properties in the Enniskillen area.

The two men, both aged in their 40s, were arrested under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000 and are currently in police custody.

These are the second and third arrests made in connection with this investigation, following a number of searches.

A man in his 40s was earlier arrested in Letterbreen but released without charge.
