Two women arrested over puppy theft in Loranger

LORANGER, La. (WGNO) — Two women accused of stealing puppies from the back porch of a Loranger home were arrested after they turned themselves in to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, July 4.

According to TPSO, 31-year-old Sarah Folse and 52-year-old Deanna Witten, both of Amite, were arrested on charges of theft and trespassing after they allegedly took three German Shepherd puppies from the back porch of a homeowner on Saturday, June 22.


TPSO officers reported that on June 22, they responded to a home in the 17000 block of Highway 40 where they received information from the homeowner that two females had allegedly pulled into his driveway in an unknown, white vehicle and taken unleashed puppies.

The homeowner was reportedly alerted to the incident via home surveillance camera footage when he took the puppies outside to relieve themselves.

According to TPSO, the whereabouts of the puppies are still unknown.
