Seven suspects arrested for setting fire to synagogue and hotel

The Greek police’s anti-terrorist unit has arrested seven people on suspicion of setting fire to a synagogue and a hotel, it was reported on Thursday.

Four people were charged with setting fire to the hotel on May 15, while the remaining three were charged with attacking the synagogue on June 18.

The suspects were charged with, among other things, deliberate arson that could have endangered human life and was racially motivated.

Five of the suspects remained in custody pending trial, while the remaining two were released on bail.
