Crime Reports: 71-Year-Old Man Reported for Sexual Assault | KTAB

Editor’s Note: The following arrest and incident reports were provided by the Abilene Police Department. All information below comes from reports made by responding officers, and all suspects are presumed innocent unless otherwise found in a court of law.

Incidents

2700 block North 18th Street – Criminal offense
One victim reported that an unknown suspect gained access to the roof of the building, causing damage and stealing over $65,000.


1600 block of Ambler Avenue – Trespassing on private property
A 19-year-old Hispanic man was arrested at a north Abilene business for trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia.

1700 block of Bent Tree Drive – assault, domestic violence
A report of an assault based on domestic violence was prepared.

3900 block of Old Anson Road – trespassing
A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of CMTR.

700 block of Medical Drive – Indecent Assault
A report was received of a 71-year-old male suspect who touched an 80-year-old victim and a 59-year-old victim inappropriately without the victims’ express consent.

2400 block of Grape Street – assault, domestic violence
The victim stated that his wife attacked him, leaving visible injuries. The accused was arrested for assault and domestic violence.

1000 block of Westview Drive – Assault
One of the victims reported that the man hit her in the face with a closed fist.

1600 block Hwy 351 – Attack
Police responded to a department store in Abilene for a report of an armed man with a gun. The call resulted in a report of an aggravated assault.

1200 block of North 8th Street – burglary of a building
A report of a burglary was received at a building located in the north part of Abilene.

2500 block of Nonesuch Road – Terrorist threat to family/household
APD responded to a call for assistance on the city’s south side. A 24-year-old female reported that a person she knew had made serious threats to her, causing her to believe she was going to die. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Taylor County Jail for booking.
