Sydney mother ‘caught drink-driving with three children in car’

A Sydney woman who was allegedly caught driving her car with three children at more than three times the speed limit had a previous drink-driving conviction.

Jackie Mumbler allegedly had a blood alcohol level of 0.159 per mille when she was stopped in West Hoxton on Monday evening.

The car she was driving was unregistered and uninsured and Ms Mumbler did not have a driving licence.

She told 7 News: “I made a bad decision and put my children in danger.”

When Ms Mumbler was told it was not the first time she had been caught, she replied: “It was about two years ago.”

“I feel disgusted with myself,” she said.

When the 37-year-old mother goes to court next month, she faces up to two years in prison and a $7,000 fine.
