Driver arrested months after West Little River crash – NBC 6 South Florida

A man was arrested Wednesday after he fled the scene of a crash in West Little River that killed a woman, allegedly his passenger, according to the Miami-Dade Police Department.

Police had been looking for 38-year-old Marvin Cisneros Garcia since the April 28 crash.

Miami-Dade police said that around 5:45 a.m., a Chevrolet Colorado allegedly driven by Garcia collided with a Dodge Ram at the intersection of Northwest 95th Street and Northwest 17th Avenue.

As a result of the accident, 33-year-old Meylin Munoz Romero, a 33-year-old passenger in the front right seat of the Colorado, was killed.

Police said that after the crash, Garcia fled the scene on foot.

Police searched for Garcia for two months before arresting him on a warrant for leaving the scene of a crash in which he died. No further details were provided about how he was apprehended.

He is currently being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on $50,000 bail.
