SAPOL – Operation Measure Arrests

Eastern District Police have made two arrests in connection with serious thefts of alcohol from retail outlets.

On Sunday, June 30, Eastern Operation Measure crews responded to a liquor store in Rose Park after receiving a report of a theft.

Police searched the area and found a woman in possession of stolen alcohol nearby.

Checks revealed the 33-year-old Adelaide woman was wanted in connection with other thefts and was charged with 18 additional counts of theft and 15 counts of breaching bail.

He will appear in the Adelaide District Court on July 11.

On Friday 5 July at approximately 11.30am, following an investigation, Eastern District Police crews attended a home in Adelaide in response to a report of theft of alcohol.

Police searched the home and found 50 bottles of alcohol that were allegedly stolen during recent liquor store thefts in the eastern suburbs.

Police also found prescription medications, a small amount of narcotics and equipment used to prepare them inside.

A 68-year-old man with an address was arrested on suspicion of theft and handling stolen goods. He has been released on bail to appear in court at a later date.
