Three people were arrested on charges of distributing large quantities of narcotics following a months-long investigation by the Mississippi Special Operations Group.

The Natchez Democrat reports that Adams County Special Operations Group agents seized nine vehicles and thousands of dollars in cash, as well as drugs with a street value of about $20,000.

Sheriff Travis Patten said in a news release that deputies stopped Arthur Grayson of Natchez, Quentin Pollard of St. Francisville, Louisiana, and Alphonse Lewis of St. Francisville early Wednesday morning. The three were arrested at the intersection of Lower Woodville Road and Grove Acres after deputies followed them from 721 U.S. 61 South.

“The agents arrived as three men were exchanging 652 Roxicodone tablets,” Patten said.

Special Operations Group agents also recovered $2,727 in U.S. currency and seized two trucks.

After executing a search warrant at 721 US 61 South, agents seized documents, Zosia’s video recorder, a 2018 Ford F-150, a 2015 Ford F-350, a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette, a 2006 Honda Goldwing, a 2007 Ford F-150, a 2005 International Rollback, a 2014 International and $283 in cash.

“This is the third time officers have executed a search warrant at Arthur Grayson’s residence and arrested him for selling Roxicodone. Grayson was arrested on April 15, 2022 for trafficking Roxicodone and his Cadillac Escalade truck was seized,” the sheriff said.

He added that Grayson was also arrested on Jan. 4 for selling Roxicodone.

“District Attorney Tim Cotton has been in contact with the Special Operations Group throughout the course of this case. He is also in the process of filing a motion to revoke Grayson’s bail,” Patten said.

He added that Cotton is also cooperating with his deputies on the forfeiture of assets seized in these cases.

Patten said that while the suspects were charged with selling Roxicodone, the tablets seized were not pharmaceutical-grade compressed tablets.

“These pills contain fentanyl and who knows what else. These are the types of pills that are killing people all over the country. The profit margin on these pills is astronomical. They will cost less than a dollar to produce, and these particular compressed pills are being sold as Roxicodone 30 milligrams and can cost $30 per pill. That gives the pills seized in this one arrest an approximate street value of $19,560,” the sheriff said.
