Firefighters respond to fire at animal feed plant in Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – Firefighters responded to a fire at a feed mill in East Hempfield Township this morning.

The call came in from the Hubbard Feed plant on Hempland Road at 6:15 a.m. Rescuers arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire around 10 a.m.


According to Columbia Borough Fire Department Station 80 on Facebook, units from across the county are helping to contain the blaze.

Rescue units, fire trucks and traffic units from the Columbia Borough Fire Department, Craley Fire Department and Lincoln Fire Company Station 16 assisted the Rohrerstown Fire Company.

The Hempfield Borough Office said no one was injured in the fire. An investigation is underway to determine the cause.

Hempland Road is closed near the mill.
