The “Selfish” singer was arrested on June 18, 2024, in Sag Harbor after he was found to be driving under the influence, according to the Sag Harbor Police Department. Timberlake was arraigned the following morning and released on his own recognizance.

The incident not only made headlines, but also inspired a work of art using his mugshot.

The artwork, created by artist Godfrey Lohman and titled “Tuesday Night Out Featuring Justin Timberlake,” has generated a lot of interest, according to the gallery, with visitors lining up to view and photograph the piece, which comes in several colors, including pink, green and blue.

Gallery owner Romany Kramoris expressed her excitement about the artwork, saying, “My reaction was, ‘Oh my God! This is amazing! This is just amazing!'” she said Page Six. Kramoris, affectionately known as the “Queen of Sag Harbor” after running her gallery for 44 years, added that the piece has become the gallery’s “most contemporary” work.

The gallery has sold “two or three” works so far at $520 apiece, and “a lot of people are coming back,” Kramoris said.

Despite Timberlake’s arrest Forget Tomorrow World Tour will go ahead as planned, with upcoming shows in Chicago and New York, followed by an overseas tour in late July.

During a June 29 performance in Boston, the singer seemed to address his arrest with a bit of humor, asking the crowd, “So, uh, is there anybody here tonight who’s hosting?” The comment elicited a mix of gasps and laughter from the audience before he quickly added, “No, I’m just kidding,” before continuing his performance.

The singer previously addressed the incident during a June 21 concert in Chicago, telling the crowd, “It’s been a tough week. I know it’s hard to love me sometimes, but you still love me. We’ve been through ups and downs, lefts and rights… but you’re here, I’m here, and nothing can change this moment.”

Timberlake’s lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., promised a “vigorous” defense of the singer against the allegations, stating that he “will have a lot to say in due time.”

Timberlake’s next court hearing is scheduled for July 26, the same day as his performance at Tauron Arena Kraków.
