Man asked girls for sex, hit boy, RCMP say

St. Albert police are searching for a man they say approached two teenage girls and asked them if they wanted to do drugs and have sex with him, before punching a teenage boy who came to their aid.

on June 26, two 15-year-old girls were in the parking lot of the Mission Ridge Shopping Center on McKinney Avenue when an unknown man approached them, asking if they wanted to have sex and do drugs with him, police said in a news release Wednesday.

The girls got scared and went to their 14-year-old friend to explain what had happened. The boy confronted the suspect, who then punched him in the face.

Police say an adult witness tried to intervene, but the suspect fled the area.

The man is described as being approximately 25 to 30 years old, with a slim build, 5’10” tall, black hair and a moustache. The suspect was wearing a black hoodie and black shorts at the time of the incident.

St. Albert RCMP are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700 or your local police department.
