Aaron Judge’s offensive line coach criticized the development of the New York Yankees as they try to get out of a slump.

The Bronx Bombers were in danger of losing a three-game series to the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday when coach Richard Schenck lashed out at the organization that includes his biggest client.

During the game at Yankee Stadium, YES Network posted a screenshot of Judge on the board with a quote from former Yankees announcer Michael Kay, writing, “He hits. They win. That’s it.”

Schenck then brought the Yankees back down to earth in the comments, saying, “They’ve lost 13 of 18, and he’s hitting like an MVP. The Yankees’ offensive player development is terrible.”

The Yankees lost the game 8-4 and have now failed to win 14 of their last 19 games.

Still, the American League single-season home run record holder and six-time All-Star is putting up MVP-caliber numbers this season.

Judge, who joined the Yankees in 2016, has hit .318/.438/.711 with a league-leading OPS of 1.149.

Unfortunately, while Judge is riding a historic losing streak, the Yankees have seen star players like Alex Verdugo, Anthony Volpe, DJ LeMahieu and several offensive players struggle, which has led to some unpleasant results recently.

The Yankees had lost their previous two games to Cincinnati, 3-2 and 5-4. Before the win, they had also suffered losses to the Red Sox, Braves, Mets and Blue Jays.

Judge and company now find themselves 2.5 games behind the first-place Baltimore Orioles in the AL East after falling to 54-35.

The team finished last season with a record of 82-80 and 99-63 in the 2022 season.

The Yankees appeared in the ALCS in 2022 and were swept by the Astros en route to the World Series title. Then they missed the playoffs last year as Texas cruised through the American League to win the World Series.
