The Latest: Alaska U.S. Judge Joshua Kindred Resigns

The United States Court did not announce this in a press release, but the information appeared on the court’s website: United States District Court Judge Joshua Kindred has resigned from his position, effective July 8.

Kindred was appointed by President Donald Trump in 2019 to serve as a judge for the District of Alaska. He is a 2005 graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage and Willamette University College of Law.

The decision is sudden and unexplained, but follows a letter of resignation submitted by Kindred, 47, who is currently on the sidelines.
