Trenton man arrested for murder and attempted murder after shooting four people, one fatally

TRENTON — A man has died days after a shooting that injured four people late last month.

Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced that the Mercer County Homicide Task Force (MCHTF) and the Trenton Shooting Response Team have arrested a Trenton man in the fatal shooting of Samier Vincent.

Trenton Police responded to the 100 block of Walnut Avenue after an on-duty patrol officer alerted them to multiple shots fired in the area.

Upon arrival, police found four shooting victims who were taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center.

Samier Vincent, 30, of Trenton, was shot in the head/neck area and died from those injuries on June 27.

A 29-year-old woman was taken to hospital in serious condition, while two other victims received medical attention and were discharged home.

Divon Ray, 24, of Trenton, is charged with one count of first-degree murder, eight counts of attempted first-degree murder and numerous weapons offenses, including holding certain persons in possession of a firearm. He was arrested in Trenton on Wednesday. Prosecutors have filed a motion to hold Ray pending trial.
