OZARK, Mo. — After nearly four decades of service in law enforcement and as a school security officer, a recognizable face in Christian County is calling it a career.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office announced that Captain Mark Deeds will be stepping down from his position and will send his final radio transmission this week.

In his final message, Deeds thanked Sheriff Brad Cole for “allowing him to serve the citizens of Christian County and the students of Ozark Schools.” Dispatch returned the favor by thanking him as well.
