Rockford firefighter injured in one of four fires overnight

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – According to the Rockford Fire Department, firefighters responded to four structure fires between 4:50 p.m. and 2:42 a.m.

They list four incidents involving X.

They say one firefighter suffered minor injuries in the Montague Street fire, two adults were displaced by the Church Street fire and no civilians were injured.

In an incident report, the Rockford Fire Department says the fire started in a detached garage at 324 Morgan St. and spread to a home at 1110 S. Church St. No one was home at the time of the fire. They say the garage sustained significant fire damage and then spread to the home. The estimated loss is $75,000.

A report of the fire at 2101 Martha St. said flames were coming from a first-story window of a vacant home under construction.
