Winnipeg Traffic: Serious collision blocks lanes on Lagimodiere

Several lanes of a busy Winnipeg road were closed on Friday as emergency services responded to a serious car crash.

The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) reported on X just after 11:00 a.m. that emergency services had arrived at the scene of an accident on Lagimodiere Boulevard.

Several semi-trailer trucks and a mangled vehicle were visible behind police tape. Debris was also strewn across the road.

The northbound and southbound lanes between Fermor Avenue and Abinojii Mikanah were closed to traffic. One southbound lane has reopened, but police say emergency crews remain at the scene.

Drivers are asked to exercise caution in this area.
