Multiple people were injured in a shooting at the City Pavilion on Friday, June 28, and two juveniles were arrested, according to information released this week by the Vicksburg Police Department (VPD).

VPD officials said a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old suspect were arrested Tuesday. Each has been charged with aggravated assault and shooting at a moving vehicle.

VPD Investigator Jerrold Hayes said the shooting occurred after 9 p.m. at a pavilion at 100 Army Navy Drive.

The VPD did not provide information on a possible motive for the shooting; officials did say however that the investigation was ongoing and additional arrests were “pending.”
