LINCOLN, Neb. — A new online portal for reporting abuse is now available.

According to a press release, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Division of Children and Families is launching a new online portal for reporting suspicions of child and adult abuse or neglect.

CFS Director Dr Alyssa Bish said the online portal creates a simple process.

“This new website not only simplifies the reporting process, but it also makes it easier for CFS to catalog those reports,” Bish said. “Having such an important tool available to the public is critical to ensuring we can take action on reports of abuse and neglect in our state.”

The new portal will be available 24/7 and will allow people to report concerns. The website has options to report allegations of child and vulnerable adult abuse and neglect.

Users will be asked to provide as much information as possible about the victim, including personal details of the victim, method of communication, alleged perpetrator and other household members.

Participants will also be asked to provide their personal information, but can still choose to remain anonymous.
