Angry woman with tire iron threatens ex and his mother: police

RACINE — A 19-year-old Racine woman is facing five charges after threatening to kill her ex-boyfriend and his mother and damaging her mother’s car with a tire iron.

Annalisa Guereca has been charged with two misdemeanors of criminal damage to property, two misdemeanors of disorderly conduct and one misdemeanor of assault.

Guereca, who is free on $500 bail, faces a combined sentence of 33 months in Racine County Jail and a $32,000 fine if convicted on all charges. She will return to Racine County District Court on Sept. 10.

According to the indictment:

Racine police investigated two incidents, one on June 17 and another a week later, involving the defendant and her ex-boyfriend.

Police spoke with a man who said Guereca began banging on his door around 4:01 p.m. and yelling at him to let her in. The man said she threatened him and said, “I’m going to hurt you and your mom,” according to the complaint.

At one point, the man noticed neighbors yelling at Guereca because she had hit his mother’s windshield with a large tire iron. When the man tried to stop her, he said Guereca scratched him and burned him with a cigarette.

Police noted visible red marks on the man’s neck and two cigarette burns on his right arm.

The man testified that the defendant ripped off his mother’s license plate before she fled the scene. Police were unable to locate Guereca.

Police were called again on June 24 when the man reported that Guereca had smashed the back window of his mother’s car with a steering wheel lock.

The man said Guereca had come to his home earlier that day. He handed her a bottle of water at the front door, and when he tried to close it, she allegedly put her foot in the door and tried to enter.

When the man tried to push her out, Guereca allegedly pulled him out and they both fell down the porch steps, he said. When he got up and ran back inside, the defendant damaged his mother’s vehicle.

A cellphone recording of the incident, provided to police by a neighbor, corroborated the man’s account. Police were able to make contact with the accused and arrest her.
